Privacy Policy — Next Horse
This policy describes how Camp Cross Labs handles information specifically for Next Horse. For the company-wide privacy policy, see Camp Cross Labs Privacy.
Information we collect
- No account is required and Camp Cross Labs does not collect any personal information.
- Horses, notes, photos, screenshots, seller contact details, and reminders you save are stored only on your device.
- Ad text and screenshots you share into the app are read on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition and on-device Apple Intelligence model. They are not sent to Camp Cross Labs.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Camp Cross Labs receives only Apple's standard sales reports, which do not identify you.
Permissions we request
- Photos — only when you attach a photo or video, so the app can show it with your notes; photos you add are kept in Next Horse on your iPhone, and videos are linked, not copied
- Camera — only if you take a photo inside the app; the photo is kept in Next Horse on your iPhone and is not uploaded
- Notifications — only if you set a follow-up reminder; reminders are scheduled on your device
Services we share data with
- Apple — App Store, In-App Purchase, on-device Apple Intelligence, and the Photos library you choose to link. Apple's privacy policy applies to these services.
- No analytics, advertising, tracking, or other third-party services.
How information is used
Information you save in Next Horse is used only on your device to provide the app's features. Camp Cross Labs does not receive, store, sell, or analyze it.
No account, no servers
Next Horse has no accounts, sign-in, or Camp Cross Labs servers. The app does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking, and does not track you across other apps or websites. The App Store privacy label for Next Horse is Data Not Collected.
Ads and screenshots you share into the app
When you share a horse ad, post, link, or screenshot into Next Horse, the app reads the text on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition and, where available, Apple's on-device Apple Intelligence model. Nothing you share is uploaded to Camp Cross Labs.
Importing web ads
When you ask Next Horse to import an ad from a website, by sharing it or pasting its link, the app loads that one page and its photos on your device so it can fill in the horse's details. It does not keep cookies or browsing data from that page. Next Horse never loads pages in the background, never re-checks ads, and never loads Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok pages; for those, you add screenshots. The website you import from may see a normal visit from your device, and its own privacy policy applies. Links you save open in Safari or an in-app browser only when you tap them.
Information about other people
You may save details about sellers, such as names, phone numbers, or social media handles from their ads. That information stays on your device. Please store and share it responsibly.
Photos and videos
Photos access is requested only when you attach a photo or video. Videos from your Photos library are linked rather than copied, so they remain under your control in Photos. If you use iCloud Photos, Apple may download a video from iCloud when you play it. Short clips you choose to keep are stored on your device.
Sharing lists
When you share a list, Next Horse creates a file that you send yourself through AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or another app you choose. Camp Cross Labs never receives the file. Before sending, you choose whether to include private notes, seller contact details, trial notes, and ratings. Once sent, a copy belongs to the person who received it.
Purchases
Next Horse offers optional paid features: Buyer, a one-time purchase, and Pro, a monthly or annual subscription. Payments are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. The app checks your purchase status with Apple on your device. Camp Cross Labs does not see your name, Apple ID, or payment details, and receives only Apple's standard sales reports.
Backups
Backup files you export are saved where you choose, such as Files or iCloud Drive. Your iPhone's own iCloud backup may include Next Horse data under Apple's policies.
Deleting your data
Delete any horse or list inside the app. Uninstalling Next Horse removes all of its data from your device. Files you have shared with others or exported yourself are not affected. See Delete your data.
Your rights
Because Camp Cross Labs does not hold any of your Next Horse data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. We do not sell personal information. Questions are always welcome at support@campcrosslabs.com.
Changes
If Next Horse ever adds a feature that collects data, this policy will be updated before that feature is released.
Children
Next Horse is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
